Description
The dedicated shooting fit ensures complete freedom of movement, while the convertible collar with storm tab provides extra protection on blustery days. A two-way front zip beneath a storm flap allows flexible handling and easy adjustment to changing conditions.
Thoughtfully designed details underscore the jacket’s functional character: a Napoleon pocket concealed beneath the storm flap, two generous front bellows pockets with drainage eyelets and two lined hand-warmer pockets with button-fastening tabs for the pocket flaps, which can be secured for quick access when needed. Additional features include a zipped interior pocket for important documents and anti-wicking strips at the hem to prevent moisture ingress. Waterproof windbreaker cuffs complete the weatherproof design.
The Combrook Tweed Jacket is a quintessential example of British country tradition interpreted for the modern outdoorsman. It excels both in the field and beyond, offering a stylish and reliable choice for discerning outdoor pursuits. Perfectly coordinated with other pieces from the Combrook collection.

Alan Paine
For more than a century, Alan Paine has stood for the finest British knitwear and timeless country clothing in classic, nature-inspired hues. Founded in 1907 by William Paine in Godalming, Surrey, the heritage brand has grown over generations into an established name in premium country and outdoor style. Godalming already had a long tradition of wool working when William Paine discovered several dusty knitting machines in an old warehouse on his family’s estate. With an instinct for quality and craftsmanship, he began producing his first sweaters—garments that quickly won wide acclaim. In the 1920s, when deep V-neck wool sweaters became fashionable for sports such as cricket, rowing and tennis, the label’s popularity soared, enabling Paine to open several shops, including a London store. Among its distinguished patrons was Edward VIII, then the Prince of Wales, whose preference for bespoke knitwear left a lasting mark on the brand’s reputation. During the Second World War, Paine supplied the British armed forces, with the Royal Navy in particular valuing the durability of his sweaters. After the war, Alan Paine took over the family business, steering it with foresight into a new era. By the late 1960s, for marketing reasons, Paine’s of Godalming became W.F. Paine Ltd., and eventually Alan Paine Knitwear Ltd.—a name that, to this day, remains synonymous with exceptional countrywear and refined knitwear craftsmanship.
